Strategic Ambition 2030

Healthy and thriving communities is what drives Unitywater's ambition and sets a purpose of providing high quality, safe and reliable water and wastewater services that balance affordability with sustainable growth and the need to protect the natural environment.

The Strategic Ambition 2030 articulates how we'll reach our long-term goal with milestones for the years 2024, 2027, 2030 and beyond 2040. These milestones coincide with the organisational priorities for our people, our customers and our community.

Annual Reports

Each financial year Unitywater publishes an annual report in accordance with the Financial Accountability Act 2009, the Financial and Performance Management Standard 2009, the Annual Report Guidelines for Queensland Government Agencies and the Participation Agreement between Unitywater and its participating local governments.

Participation Agreement

Unitywater is a statutory authority, formed under the South-East Queensland Water (Distribution and Retail Restructuring) Act 2009.

Governed by an independent board, we have a Participation Agreement with the Sunshine Coast Regional Council, the City of Moreton Bay and the Noosa Shire Council.

Reconciliation Action Plan

Unitywater’s vision for reconciliation is for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians to be acknowledged, respected and celebrated for their contributions to the environment, water and the community.

Our Reconciliation Action Plan is our formal commitment to reconciliation and to building stronger relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our statement on Modern Slavery

Modern slavery describes situations where offenders use coercion, threats or deception to exploit victims and undermine their freedom.

Modern slavery takes many forms including:

  • human trafficking
  • slavery
  • servitude
  • forced labour
  • debt bondage
  • forced marriage, and
  • the worst forms of child labour

Unitywater is taking a proactive approach to identifying modern slavery and other labour rights risks across our operations and supply chain.

Unitywater is indicating to our stakeholders, customers and the community how we are monitoring our operations and supply chains to ensure compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
